Hi There, I been trying to figure out a fault with my headlights.
The issue I have with my 2016 Berlingo is that only one of my headlights comes on with the switch (both work when the stalk is held in the flash position)
I have checked fuses and changed bulbs.
any ideas as to what the cause may be? Thanks.

since the bulb is h4 (for both high and low beam) when the stalk is held in the flash position this is the high beam on, the low beam will not light
you have a problem with the low beam?
have you checked the bulb connectors? replace bulbs with high quality ones?compatible with can bus?

Hi thanks for the reply,
no both dipped beams work, both head lights work when stalk is held back.
Problem is when headlight is switched on normally only the drivers side full beam stay lit up leaving the passenger side in darkness.

headlight has 3 bulbs, 1 for signal/turn left/right, 1 for position/parking and 1 for low/high beam
when you say that "headlight is switched on normally" what are you referring to? low beam or high beam? when you hold the stalk back that is the high beam flash

switch on headlights low beam work 100%
switch on full beam only 1 side works 50%
Hold on flash and both full beams work 100%

you have a bad contact, check connector and wires to the bulb, or a bad bulb, can bus is detecting a problem with that bulb and is not sending voltage.
you can also measure battery voltage and if it's more than 12.4v perform a BSI reset because maybe when you replaced the buld BSI was not completely shutdown

The fuses are independent for each headlight, and for dip and full beam, F16 on the engine bay fuse box is left headlight full beam command, F15 is right headlamp full beam command. When you hold flash, the BSI adds full beam to dip beam so both come on, when you select full beam by clicking backwards, the headlights switch over to full beam only.
Could be a fault on the BSI or the steering controls, or in between. The body CAN bus gets messages sent to the BSI from the COM2k module (the stalks unit) and this is interpreted as the required function. Since the same wire and fuse is used to power the high beam regardless of selection, then I have to conclude it is something with the COM2k steering column module or the BSI itself. I'd opt for the steering controls first as they can be swapped without coding, as long as the functionality is the same as the original (auto lights, rain sensing wipers, audio control, cruise etc)

So last week I checked the fuses and did the bsi reset and still not working, I tried the Hard bsi reset and again not working.
The van had its test on Friday and I expected a fail but it passed later that night I put the head lights on and they worked and have stayed working.
now the central locking and clock are playing up after the reset.
thanks for all your help

Turn on ignition, don't start the engine, press and hold the lock button on the remote for 10 secs and that will reset the central locking rolling code. You should hear a beep. Switch off, close the door and try the remote lock and unlock.
The clock needs set manually through the original stereo menu.
