Hi newbe needs a bit of help. can someone tell how to take the wireing plug off and change a (green) water temperature sensor on a 2003 19d, as i think it is playing up, gauge keeps going up and down, thanks

There is a wire clip that holds is on, prise it down with a screwdriver, remove sensor, remebering to cover the hole or you'll lose the coolant.
I got the electrical plug of by wiggling it and swearing a lot.

Hi Steve, thanks for the info, it is working ok now, all i did was just wiggle the plug about, so might have been a loose wire, also when i checked the header tank the cap was just about off so that might have had something to do with it, thanks chris

Can you just push that c-clip down out of the way with a small screwdriver?
