Looks like it pretends to be a CDC (CD changer) so it would work for audio and calls, though it states "compatible with 2005 RD4", so that's the M59 version.

Not expensive to try out though, I had a similar one on my Audi as the car stereo supported calls but not music over A2DP (figure that one out) and it was ok. Had to go to CD Changer input to hear it of course. That grey plug is Block C on the Quad-lock, and that is the CD Changer input for the Citroen stereos.

thanks for the reply

I also see this below which seems handy enough, just unclip the 12 pin that feeds to aux port and click this in. This would allow the bluetooth to turn on when the ignition is on. I am using a rechargeable Bluetooth adapter via the RCA aux in the glovebox but it goes into sleep mode every time the ignition is off for a short time and needs reset every time i get in and is a bit of a pain.

my stereo is a RD4 N1 mp3. Are there different versions of the RD4 that would make the wiring layout on the back different ?

No they should all be the same, other than the VAN Vs CAN difference on the non-audio pins.

The last one you linked is also a CDC fake input (pretends to be a CD changer) and is not "aux" input. By the way, if your stereo does not have the CD Changer input available when you step through the inputs, then you would have to add that to it using Diagbox software. It may not be configured at the moment to respond to that input.

I used the KTC Dab radio adapter - https://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/ca...TC-500DAB/

It's a little bit clunky to wire up, but works incredibly well and gives better volume on bluetooth - aux, than it does via the aux connectors alone.
