Slow morning cranking
#11
Tayna batteries on the Internet are a good place for batteries, uusually next day delivery.

French car cable connections arent always the best and on a car this age there may well be some corrosion causing high resistances.

If your battery is on its way outearly morning when it has stood overnight is whn it will be at its lowest, it is also the time when the most effort is needed to crack a cold engine, once you have started it for the rest of the day there will be more power in the battery and the engine will be easier to crank.

A proper test of the battery by an autoelectrician or if you know the battery is really old (there should be a date on it) then change it.

You could also try connecting up to a running car using jump leads to see if it cranks any faster.

*update*

So we ended up changing the starter motor and that has done the job.
Now it’s on the button every morning ?

Thanks to everyone for the advice ?
