Hi,
I have a March 2022 Berlingo.
I am being told to update the map and infotainment software using a USB stick via my PC.
I am unable to load the update onto my PC.
The update setup file loads from the Citroen website, but when I try to open and run it, to prepare it to load onto USB, it says, "Installation Aborted. Setup was not competed successfully.
I am running Windows 11 as administrator and have 660 GB of free space on the computer. I have tried to load it with Avast security turned off.
I was wondering if anybody out there has had similar issues and can assist.
Thanks for looking.

The Citroen update programme downloads the update to your laptop, then the program continues running, and tells you to insert the USB into your laptop and it then downloads what it needs to the USB. You do not manually download anything to the USB

I have just updated my software and maps. WOW, what a long winded process.
Why o why don't they ask which country's maps you require before starting the download? it would reduce it by about two thirds of the size, in my case. Which would save around two hours down loading and 45minutes uploading. Oh no, you have to download the whole of Europe, then choose which countries you need, in other words ignore two thirds of the huge download.

... and even when you have set up the USB stick, its still a very long process to update the car and must be done with the engine running, allow approximately one hour!

Hi Everybody,
Thanks for replying.
Having read your replies I don't think I will bother. I am not interested in the maps anyway, as I use Google Maps via Android Auto, which I love and have become so used to using, over many years.
I was only really interested in updates to the screen, but will leave it for now.
Thanks again.
Regards

You can choose to only update the head unit without updating maps. It will take considerably less time.

Hi,
Thanks for that, it would be useful, although my problem at the moment is that it won't load onto my computer.
When I try and open the file downloaded from Citroen Web Site, It runs half way and then says download has failed.
Thanks

Make sure your computer is set to high performance energy mode. In balanced mode it would sometimes turn off the network card when you have not touched the pc for a while.

I had the same issue on my PC. I then tried it on my Windows 10 laptop and it worked just fine.
