[Transmission] Clicking clutch pedal

Hi lads, so I’ve had my 2006 1.9 manual for a few months now and it a had its problems but nothing major. Today whilst driving the clutch started making a clicking noise when depressed about 1-2 inches, just the one click then it’s fine carries on the rest of the way down only does on the way down not on the way up. Any ideas? I can’t look at until I get home, if it gets home ?? feels like the issues on the pedal side of things not the Engine end.

Forgot to say it had a new clutch 6 months ago and has done 157000 miles 2000 since the clutch was fitted

Automatic adjuster noise on the clutch cable ?

Perhaps it will settle down
