Berlingo MK1 Injector seal. 1.6 HDi 2008.

Hi all. Berlingo mk1 started ticking loads and chuffing. Found out it was injector seal. Bought full seal kit and before tackling job noticed the injector was loose. Tightened it up and chuffing and ticking stopped.

Today the van is totally undriveable. It is juddering majorly and stalling every minute.

I have now removed the injector fully and as you can see it is shocking!!

Now I am going to fully clean down and replace all seals of course.

My question is simply, before I finish the job, would this be the main reason for juddering and stalling or could this be a secondary issue?

I have been priming the diesel and it goes for a bit without stalling and I am worried it may be also the fuel pump or blocked filter.

Any input is appreciated.
