Loads of m49s still on the roads in France, they don't change their cars as often as we do.
I used to buy my service items including oil in the supermarkets when on holiday

Also lack of "British Weather" in the South of France...Cannes, Monaco, Nice...I think rust is very slow to take there. And the French do keep their cars for ever and ever. Helps when the weather doesn't try to dissolve them!

For a moment I thought you'd snapped one that didn't have side rubbing strips (2nd photo in the 2nd batch), then closer inspection revealed the strip had just fallen off. I've noticed when looking at M49s and old M59s still around in the UK that my own poverty-spec M49 seems to be somewhat unusual in not having the strips.
What are those two bumps in the road in the first pic?

One Multispace there picture 11 with equal size twin rear doors. I saw one like that a few years ago never seen one since.
So where does this bit go then ?
