I have that code if I use a generic OBD reader and mine doesn't stop at 3k, it will rev all the way.

What scanner are you using? Most non-pro diagnostic units don't work properly on a Citroen.

Hi - I'm no mechanic but love my 2014 VTR auto diesel and read this forum for all the info it provides.
I don't think it is the speed limiter - is it?  It usually goes off and has to be re-set when you switch on the ignition. But maybe you've got a different limiter?
Good luck anyway.

The limiter limits the road speed, not the RPM. You can still rev the nuts off it in the lower gears until you reach the limiter set speed.

I did see that there can be problems with generic code readers , What code reader is best for Citroen ?stuff ?
I don’t think it’s a speed limiter as driving back it was fine only reving to 3k speeds from 50mph upto 65mph
It revs clean just stops dead on 3k ?

Diagbox (factory software), Autel Maxi 808 Pro, Snap-On Pro, TopDon Artidiag 800 (I think that number is correct)

Basically only the Citroen official software and adaptor or the really expensive high end pro stuff. It has 5 CAN buses at different speeds, plus a LIN bus for the DPF pump, Start-Stop and the smart alternator. The BSI computer is the CAN system network bridge and controls all functions that are not engine related, and houses the anti theft system. Also carries one of up to 5 fuse boxes on it. Normally there are at least two large ones, one in the BSI behind the glovebox and the other in the engine bay beside the engine ECU.

Few cars are as complex electronically as these.

abit of a long shot but do you think the Eolys pouch is empty ? would i have these props from that being empty ?

It has no way to measure the pouch level and will only show a message when the car or van passed over 100k miles, which needs reset with Diagbox, after replacing the pouch and or the DPF too (cleaned or replaced etc) but the warning is different, and comes with a count down to no-start.

Have you tried disconnecting the MAF, it gives similar symptoms to yours.
So where does this bit go then ?
