Sticky throttle
#1
Hello guys

So I have a 2007 berlingo with a problem of a sticky throttle, when I let go of the gas to switch gears the revs stay up (or increase if I'm accelerating hard) for a second or two, it doesn't stay on forever, just for a moment but it's racking up my mileage.

Any advice on where I should look or what should I do?

I had same problem with my 08 petrol berlingo If your clutch cable isn't running smooth it does what you describe,If the clutch pedal is squeeky or stiff try looking there.

This reply is a bit late but for the record,  i have had similar issue with my 2006 petrol Berlingo but only on really hot days during the summer. Plugged in Lexia and it told me it was the clutch pedal switch. Cleared faults in Lexia and the problem disappeared. i assumed it was switch wear ( 110Kmiles ) and hot conditions affecting switch actuator operation. i  got a new clutch switch but i am not flexible enough to get under the dashboard !! however problem hasn't returned for ~ 18 months so i have left it
