Egr problems
#1
Hi, a friend has a 2019 1.5hdi van, it’s recently thrown a light and message up:
Dtc P2413 (P2413-97) EGR valve actuator.  Output stage overheated. Incorrect activation. Have re replaced the Egr valve (tried two new ones to be exact) The maf was playing up so that was also replaced at the same time. Same code after after a couple of starts (after clearing of course). The only strange info we can read is the coolant temperatures, there are three variants shown on test gear they are 1) engine coolant 2) adjusted temperature 3) nominal. Nominal is the one that the Egr uses for coolant temp on the Egr valve and this shows 50 degrees higher than the other temperature readings.
There additional info which traces it to ‘output switches in the ecu’
Sorry for the long first post but didn’t want to leave anything out, test gear used hg mega macs.
Thanks, bugsy.

Have you found a solution to this by any chance? I had my K9 in to Peugeot as Citroen were too busy it was there for 2 days. I have same code coming up along with a DPF worn code so i just did the DPF again very expensive but cleaning on these does not seem to work well.

Anyway they pulled the EGR and it was clogged so they cleaned it out and reinitiated it checking it was actuating correctly and it was so put it back together. A 15 mile drive home and it is back so looking around i see posts changing MAF and coolers and stuff and none of that working??

I also seen on one post that one guy fixed his by telling the ECU he had installed a new one. After he did this the fault code and EML went off and stayed off.

EGR was clogged so cleaned but cooler was completely blocked and replacement was fitted. No problems since
