Air in the fuel (have a look for bubbles in the clear hose on top of the engine)
Fuel filter not sealed/cap split
Dirty air/fuel filter
Air flow meter power supply

Unplug it and try to drive, if it's now good, then the MAF is bad. It will revert to the stored map value when disconnected.

Ok then it's not working anyway. Short to ground or open circuit is no signal from the MAF. Are you unplugging it then starting the engine (correct way) or unplugging it while running already (wrong way)

No idea. Could be a fuse, wiring fault, bad plug at the ECU, bad maf, have you tried a replacement maf then?

Make sure you've got a good 12v and 5v on the relevant pins of the plug and that the wiring isn't damaged
