Test Drives

I had a drive in a couple of cars today. Neither of them are converted to a mini camper. Which was a pity. 

The picture attached is a diesel engined version, 2019. This was the car I was interested in trying for a test drive. It didnt feel right for some reason. Probably because it was a manual. Or maybe it was just one of those feelings you get. What ever it was, I didnt feel the love.

The other was the 2023 electric version and it was an amazing thing to drive. But no use for distances I want to travel.

This will be my first Berling and I dont really know what I am looking for. Its a bit "touchy feely" at the minute However, neither of these are the one. So its back to the internet to find the right car.

It's worth trying the auto if you can find one. I had a test drive in a petrol Flair M back in '21 and it was a lovely drive, and surprisingly quiet. I was sufficiently impressed to order an XL version (which I hadn' t seen), though I did have to wait 15 months for it to turn up! 

Although Citroen went electric-only last year, they have reintroduced a limited offering of ICE models due to demand. Though not in XL form, or the 130 PureTech auto, unfortunately.

I did see an XL camper conversion on Spoticar last year, but ISTR they wanted £32K for it, with only 18 months warranty left.
