Door trouble

Hi all
First time on here not long had my 09 Berlingo was filling up at fuel station,my wife had tried to open rear door nearside,but could not I can't open it know had to push the button down by hand to close flue hatch. Any advice on getting back door open please would be must welcome.

There's a mechanical part which blocks the side door when the fuel flap is open. Yours is perhaps broken now.
