Google says:

Will my car road tax go up?

Yes, Vehicle Excise Duty (also known as car tax) will increase in line with Retail Price Index (RPI) inflation of 10.1% from April 2023

Same with my M59, tax has been going up gradually through the years. If it is not a secret what kind of car does your wife drive that she pays £30 for 10 years old car? It must be something with a small engine that produces very little CO2.

Our Multispace only costs £30/year for tax since it was new.  The car that it replaced (Kia Rio2) also was only £30/year.  We don't mention the van tax!!!
B9 (2016) 1.6 BlueHDi 100 Multispace XTR = Mine;   B9 (2013) Enterprise 1.6 HDi Van = Hers.

I think my 60-plate 1.6TDI Polo is still £30. Don't know what euro-level it is, it has a DPF, but no Adblue. I think the 1.4's are £30 as well.

My wife drives fiesta 12.50 engine 63 plate,a lot of cars from that era and up to 66 plate were cheap to tax !!and some were even zero tax!! My father in law drives renault captur 1.5d and his tax is zero, doesn't make sense does it
