B9 steering wheel
#1
Hi all,
Contemplating replacing the rather tatty steering wheel on my 2015 Blingo. Can anyone tell me which wheels will fit, preferably with the same airbag so I don't need to buy one....
Thanks in anticipation, Richard

My steering wheel was pretty tatty. Used one of those Italian leather sew on steering wheel covers and looks a treat. You would never know the state it was in.

The DS3 one fits, but needs a complete wheel with airbag. The one which fits and uses your own airbag is the Peugeot 207 GTi wheel, from what I've seen.

Rather rare but can be had. There are 4 on eBay, only two have the airbags.

Usually because it's an offence to post an airbag under the explosive materials rules without declaring it and the required packaging is large and expensive.

However if you're buying it from the seller it's their problem. But you can fit your own existing airbag to the Pug 207 wheel.

That's not bad James. I forgot about the C3. You got that van on the road yet?

Not far off dude. Waiting for some parts. I'll post up progress photos tomorrow, it's been super busy with work

Interesting thread as I’m in the same position as the original poster.

Given that a C3 on fits and uses the original airbag, would a C1 one fit? They appear to be much cheaper on EBay…

Thanks

Couldn't say on the C1. I know the DS3, 307, Berlingo and Partner all fit each other and the airbags are compatible plug-wise and resistance-wise; in the 307 wheel, even the old Berlingo or Partner airbag can be fitted to it. The DS3 wheel I'm sure needs the DS3 airbag to be present.

Don't know if that's true about the C3 and never heard about anyone fitting a C1 to a Berlingo. But you never know.

The C3 one doesn't use the original airbag. It is the same unit as the DS3 one though. No idea about the c1 unit

I replaced B9 wheel with a 307cc one from Ebay. Actually it feels thinner than the original polyurethane wheel, but at least looks a bit classier. B9 airbag fits as is, but there is slight color difference. The bag is more grayish / antracite while the wheel is now black.
