[Engine] 2.0L HDi Electric Cooling System Fan
#1
I have a 2004 2.0HDi Multispace without aircon.
At what water temperature should the fan switch on?

This is for the 90HP 2.0HDi,

Interesting that there is mention of coolant pressure of 17 bar (247psi !) to trigger a fan speed.
That must be a misprint. 1.7 bar, 24.7 psi might be believable. Tongue
Hope you can make sense of it.

Looking closer, the pressure cap is 1.4 bar,
so that 17bar looks to be the low side of the air con system,
so no need to look for pressure switches in the engine cooling system.
But it is French!  Big Grin

Eh? It's clearly 1.4 bar.

2nd gear of the three speed fan,
"101C or 17 bar in the cooling circuit"

had me Scoobied at first. Tongue

Ah I get ya, yeah the 3 speed one must be AC only and the 2 speed on is no AC.

Since the AC rad is up against the main rad and uses the same fan, they have extra conditions for it coming on. Makes sense now!
