Strange Dials Problem
#1

Anybody have any idea why my cluster's doing this?

I can push them so they 'spring' into a set position when there's power to the dials, but when I turn the car off and leave it until the mileage goes out (and I guess power to the dials turns off), if I open the door or turn the key and they get power again, they do that little skitty thing and drop to the bottom.

Many thanks!

Hi Dan,

First of all, you're missing the gauge stops. At least on my van, when the door is opened and the BSI wakes, up, the gauges slam into the stops as a "zeroing" procedure (The needles tap four or five times against the stop and then the gauges register correctly). I'll see if I can get you a video when I'm back from holidays next week.

Nick.

Hey Nick,

I ended up buying some replacement dials in the end which solved the issue so no idea why they played up in the first place. They did work fine when I first bought the van so can only assume that the actual cluster developed a fault. Now to figure out why the new cluster has the airbag light on unless they store a fault and the dials purchased are from a crashed van . Appreciate the reply though!

Pug 206 ones work fine too if anyone else is needing replacements.
