Tip of the day:

If any of you don't like being alarmed at if you choose not to put your seat belt on.
Look under the drivers seat, right in the middle there's a white in-line plug and socket, simply unplug it and your sorted... you'll probably have to remove the plastic tray from under the seat to get to it.

No, the wires will be crimped into them. You know the sort of thing, they are all over cars wiring these days. You squeeze and pull to disconnect.

my alarm continues for up to a mile, then i put belt on, [ along half mile farm track then little lane down hill to village].
But can this connector point be used for another device?

Pete, what are you thinking of using it for? Or do you mean does the car use the plug for another system like air bags etc.

The wires just tell the computer if the seat belt is plugged in, ie if they are shorted together the seat belt is not plugged in. If they are open circuit the seat belt is plugged in. You can't use them for anything else.
