Yeah, the roof is on the list, just waiting on a few Dent removal companies to see what they can do with the damage before I go lining over the inside...
Floor wasn't too bad, it already some Ply in there but it was thin and had been cut short to fit a bike holder thing down near the doors, so I had something to work with..
There's a load of left over LVT 'boards left over in the loft from bedroom renovations, I'll probably use them as they'll wipe clean ...
Similar colour to these but require adhesive...
After reading the guide to fitting an internal back door release I've also ordered a latch/lever/handle from EBAY part number PSA828409 iirc, so that can go in before I make the last few door trims....

Unfortunately there wasn't enough tiles to cover the floor,
So... a trip to B+Q for a small bit of vynil and some adhesive later...
Also bought some stainless M8 lifting nuts and tig'd some studding into them to create long eyeballs to hold the floor down...
A rummage in the shed also unearthed the cargo net from our old 307, so threw that in to stop little bits rolling around..
Also, got the internal door handle mod fitted and working..
Next job - reroute and hide all them poxy wires on the passenger side...

Nice job. What was the secret to the handle, bad first one or wrong unit?

Wrong unit by the looks of it....
I've thrown some pics + part numbers up on the thread..
https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-23771.html
I've still got the handle that is the correct number given by Jems, if anyone wants it, cover the postage and its theirs.. I've had a full refund and the seller said just bin it...

I tried to see the difference in the pics but it wasn't possible. Maybe easier to see in person.

Part number 828409 :
Part number 828411:
That conical bit on the end has a hex in the bottom, the lock in the back operates a bar that sits in there....
This is the part I've now fitted and everything seems to be working again

Ah the semi circular bit. I was looking for something cone shaped.

Not been tinkering much this week as I'm in the middle of ripping out a front lawn to extend the driveway at home and its bloody killing me...
But...
Managed to get some 38mm grommets, I broke out the holes away and rerouted the passenger side harness..
Much tidier, and no chance of stray bikes or clumsy loading catching it..
Next up, trim the infill panels for the doors and sides and get them mounted..
Have a plan to try some embossed detail on these so waiting for some laser cut bits to arrive first, and of course wacker plating some hardcore and gravel....

17 tons of MOT1 granite....
11½ tons of gravel...
LOTS of shovelling... raking... wacker plating...
Now that's done I can get back with the van....
1 thing had been bugging the s**t outta me ever since I picked it up...
The gearknob kept rotating!! And let's be honest... its not the nicest thing to hold..
I remembered having a MOMO anatomico in 1 of my old cars, after a Google I was shocked to see these are now the best part of £100.. luckily there was 1 on ebay that had a tiny nick on the leather for £30 so I swooped in for that and also 1 of these to fix the gaiter top..
After a bit of head scratching as to work put what order to fasten things.. we have something MUCH nicer..
Contact points mean a lot to me, and no more twisty knob!!!

Was having a browse on Google the other day for any tips/inspiration on trimming van panels and spotted a few 'embossed' effect panels on a VW forum, so I had a think and decided to try it...
My mountain bike is a DMR so after a look on their site i found the new logo is pretty straightforward without too many intricacies...
Fired an email over to The Natural Workshop over in March (the town, not the month) and Josh was mega helpful + well priced
4mm thick MDF letters bonded on:
Some spray glue and working the carpet into recesses later:
Decided the hideous plastic clips were pretty dire, so I opened up the holes in the doors to 9mm and installed M6 nutserts into them all, this allowed me to raid the stores at work and 'liberate' some stainless cap head bolts + washers...
All fitted up...
Might think about doing another panel in the back.. but "less is more" and all that hahahaha
