change parking/side light bulb
#1
Can this be done without removing the headlight unit or is it a million times easier taking it out? I'm gonna give it a go in the morning but it's always handy avoiding wasting my time if someone knows it's easy one way or the other

i got large hands and i also put my own thread on a few weeks ago as i was struggling but after doing ii. it is fairly easy, i found it easier to remove indicator bulb as well so that you can see down the inside of the light also to take the main big circular cover off and find the wires to the side light and just tug on them slightly then the bulb will come out.

Do the O/S one first, it's easier!
Gives you some idea where things are, as you will be working blind on the N/S one.
Remove (as said previously) the indicator bulb AND the wiring plug on the headlight bulb. If it's a 1.6HDi (think the 2.0 is different) remove the lid off the relay/fuse box, too. Believe me, any little gains in access will help.
On the plus side, once you have done it a couple of times, you wonder what all the fuss is about...Confusedillyme:
Oh, and for some strange reason it is easier to take the plastic cover off the back of the headlight, than it is to put it back on! :brickwall:
Enjoy.

Help

I have tried pressing what I think I should but I am scared of breaking it. Is it the small lighter coloured part on the top at the back?
