Hello.
Father Ted here, you may remember me from such internet forums as Andyspares, BXClub.co.uk (one of the founders- and strangely all three of us went from a BX to a Blingo), FrenchCarForum.co.uk and Autoshite.
I also have a presence on the Metro Owners Club forum.

I have been into French stuff for many years, having cut my mechanikering skills on a variety of BL Tin first. I rather enjoy the Berlingo as being incredibly easy to drive (if a little low geared, and I did often wonder about swapping the BE4 box, or even just the fifth cog out of a Xsara for the one in my Multispace), and practical when you have 3 kids and do a lot of camping and outdoor stuff.

My last Blingo was rather special and is documented elsewhere on the site.

Im currently Berlingo-less but am looking for another. I particularly want an early 5 door example with the full length sun roof, but obviously want one in minty fresh condition.

Someone sounds like Troy McClure.

We have had a great response from the BX Forum, maybe it would be good to get us a bit of a higher exposure on there. I contacted the frenchcarforum, but no response as of yet.

Nice to meet you, i think the noob bit is a bit modest. I was told by the Dealer that the Berlingo was well geared, not quite sure for high motorway mileage.

I find it strange that PSA would not alter the gear ratio on the MPV variant of the Bling/Partner as it uses the same BE4 box as use on the Xsara /Picasso /C4 and a multitude of others. Im almost positive without any modifications or weird changes (you got some BE3 boxes with friction welded diff's and the like, whereas apart from ratio changes Im fairly sure all BE4 boxes are the same).
