hello all,
problem with the heater in my 2007 pug 1.6hdi partner escapade combi.
heater will not get hot enough even after a decent run.
jobs done so far to try and resolve this
new thermostat, renewing at the same time the coolant with coma super red,
disconnected the heater matrix and flushed through to ch[/size]eck for blockage,
non found.
on running the engine the heater hoses get hot before the thermostat opens and rad starts to heat through at around 80 deg.
run engine at 2500 revs and the fan cuts in at around 92 deg.
looking at the manual there is an aux inline heat unit on the pipe leading from the thermostat to the heater I have checked and this is fitted to my motor with wiring connected to it .
there are no switches or display about it only a mention in the hand book to say (vehicels which are fitted with an hdi engine may have fitted automatic additonal heating to improve comfort).
is there any way to check this is working?.
sorry to ramble, hoping someone may have some help.
thanks to the many who have posted some great articles and information .
Jim.
