Whilst rotating my wheels last week, I had a quick look in the manual to find out how tight to torque the bolts too? Instead, the official hand book says "Tighten the bolts using the wheel brace, tighten them fully with out forcing."
I've re-checked them again today and nipped the bolts up.
So how tight is "without forcing?"

I tighten mine until my eyes start to bulge. Have a torque wrench but the eye bulge method has never failed in over twenty years.

I use a torque wrench. I first tighten all around to 80 nm and then do a final tightening to 110 nm.

When I was an earthmoving equipment fitter with the NCB we used to specify a universal torque setting for all bolts and nuts.....
Tighten until the thread strips and then back off half a turn...worked every time :whistle:
