ramps for loading a mobility scooter
#1
Can I ask if anyone has any words of wisdom concerning buying  ramps for my my trikes or motor scooters?

There are always loads on free-ads, such as facebook marketplace. I have a couple of types. One heavy duty aluminum folding, which i use for scooters and mowers etc. the other set have sliding sections and extend to about 6ft. They are more than adequate for my Pride Ranger and slide underneath the scooter once loaded. they have anti-slip surface plus raised sides to guide wheels.

Never loaded a mobility scooter, but I have one of the fold in half ramps that pulls out to 6 foot. Two of us put a 5kVA diesel generator on my van fairly easily using it the other day. Not sure what the ramp is rated at, but the generator has got to be 150-200kg.

Just a little update.  I got some aluminium telescoping or extending ramps.

However, I got a boot mobility scooter and removed things like basket etc. so we can lift it;  it fits across the back very nicely so I am less likely to take the main scooter in the back.
