Wiper linkage

Hi all help wanted !! just driving down road and one wiper stayed the left and other stayed to the right while wiper motor still running !! so i am thinking its wiper linkage ?? so how do i get at the linkage, it looks like from above ?? any help would be much appreciated, TIA Gwyn

ok, went ahead and tackled it without knowing what i was doing !! any way after removing everything except wiper motor ,the two rods which are connected together on the central pivoting thingy that operates n/s wiper ,the plastic?? inserts in the holes of the rods are drastically worn away !!!,so does anyone know if there is anywhere i can purchase replacement inserts ??TIA Gwyn

Sorry Gwyn I wish I knew, but I'm sure you will get someone along who knows about spare parts for the M59.

No probs Scott,found a supplier on line who sells steel clips that you slide on over the holes and the ball joint and then you slide some wire through two holes opposite each other on the clip to stop the rods coming off !! so we'll see if it works friday when they arrive !! I'll let you know !!

I have done the wiper linkage on my lingo now,all working good now,and it sounds a little quieter i fancy !! If anyone has the same problems please go to :- askthemechanic.co.uk I'm sure he'll have the parts for your model, and other models as well ,I'm not on commission honest haha,
