Is my ride too low
#1
Hi

I have a 2.0 Hdi Peugeot partner. Is my ride too low?
I took it to get the rear axle reconditioned (new bearings, the works) but when I asked the guy at the shop to raise it, he said no as the car would become too high and bouncy.

My problem is, when 5 people are in the car, there is Zero gap above the wheel and the car feels low.

Any suggestions?  I think suspension is ok, any upgrades for a a longer suspension that would maybe stiffen up the rear?

Photos are of my car.

yes it seems low, the dude who fixed the rear suspension has not mount it in the same spot as it was before removal!

If it gets too bouncy, put bags of sand in the back.

Both photos are before the adjustment.

But ride height didn't change

At least she wont complain then.

Get the torsion bars adjusted. That's what's wrong.

Is it an illusion of the picture, or has your car been rolled down a mountain? The rear arch looks like The Hulk had smashed it..maybe the accident it had, has something to do with the ride height!

It took a minor hit on that side, hasn't been properly repaired but the damage was just cosmetic to that side, no impact past the arch.

Does the rear axle need to be removed for the torsion bars to be adjusted?
I told the guy who was reconditioning it to add a notch to it but he insisted that it was fine that way...

No but torsion bars are very hard to adjust.
