Warning lights
#1
Hello there,I have a 2005 1.9 berlingo two,now the drama.Having hoovered, moving the drivers seat to do so,when I pulled out of the driveway the seat shot backwards. Now the handbrake, stop, airbag and seatbelt came on straightaway. The wires on both sensors under the driver’s seat were severed.I repaired them and tried to reset the warning lights via the diagnostic port but to no avail. The reader says no fault codes on vehicle.I discovered now the window wipers will not work (only when the hazard are on and very badly at that)thefuel gauge tell the amount that’s in it by whatever mood it’s in.The garage gave it a go gave up and charged me for the fun of it.Has anyone ever experienced this madness before and is there a solution before I lose my marbles.
Cheers

Can't reset those airbag SRS units with a generic reader mate. Needs Citroen software and their own interface. Called Diagbox and the cable is an Actia - come as a kit on eBay for about £140. But hard to install and not so easy to use either. Need to be a PC savvy punter to get it working at all.

And that's if it hasn't blown the airbag ECU and caused other faults in the BSI computer. If these issues all happend at the same time, that's a possibility.

Start by checking fuses in all 3 fuseboxes for the faults if they didn't happen when the SRS cables were severed. Otherwise it is likely connected and you could have a problem on your hands to resolve.

Start with fuse checks, engine bay fusebox, BSI mounted internal fusebox and battery connection unit fuses. I posted the M59 fuse layouts in the (M59) section at the top in pink years ago. (That's your model)

If no joy, but Diagbox, find a way to install it on a Windows 7x 32 bit laptop and start scanning for codes & reset what you find.

Lots of Diagbox tutorials on YouTube.
