B9 Berlingo tyre modify

I checked my wheel and it shows my alloy is 7J, it is suitable for 225/50 R16. The speed will be a little bit slower but according to calculators it will only slow 1-2 mph when I'm going 70. I'm seeking for a pilot sport 4 as soon as possible and I wonder where I can sell my part worn tyres. I went to one part worn tyre dealer today but they said they just sell it and they do not buy them. If this modify is illegal anywhere I'll catch a flight to see there instead of driving. Thank you guys very much and looking forward for my pilot sport 4.

There is little margin (profit) in part-worn tyres, that's why the dealer wouldn't buy them. He knew that he'd have to offer you such a low price that you'd walk way anyway.

Best place to sell part-worn tyres is eBay, for collection only. Take detailed photos of the tread at several places, and don't expect to get much for them. Search for same spec tyres first to see what others are asking.

Or - I should have thought of this first - put up an ad in your university; some other student might be glad of a saving against new tyres.
