Berlingo model year/model choice
#1
Hi all. I'm new here and doing the most preliminary of research.

So here's my deal. I'll be using the vehicle on my lonesome. I'd prefer to have the microspace rather than the van - as I'd like to have the optionality to have the seats if needed (or as an attraction for re-sale later on). But...only if those seats are removable (i'm unsure, I know they're removable on some models but is that the case with all models?).

Here's my deal. I'm moving to a new part of the world and I figure that on the weekends I'd like to explore it. However, I want to keep it simple ...so i'm looking at getting a bed in there - and the ability to work on the road. That, to me, means a desk and a proper ergonomic office chair. Due to living as a digital nomad, I've screwed my neck - so I have to have a proper office chair to work from.

But...the good thing is that's all I'm looking to achieve. I'm not looking to get additional seating in there or sink, storage, etc. I'll only ever be gone a couple of nights at a maximum.

I've seen some elaborate setups on youtube - but I'm looking to keep things simple. I was wondering about a murphy side-folding bed ...but I've seen few examples of that in a Berlingo. Anyone seen any examples?

When it comes to removable seats, are there any model years to avoid (because its not possible to remove them)? I guess I could try and amend one of the front seats so that its possible to turn around - and use that to work from (with a desk in front of it) ...but only want to do that if its easy to achieve. Anyone have any thoughts?

If that's what you need from it, your best bet would be to get a long wheelbase van model. They have twin side loading doors which can be changed over to Multispace ones with the windows.

As above, I think the standard Berlingo may be too short for your needs. There's also a 9 seater car version available, same length as the long van probably but not so common and not sure if available in South America. A swivel seat on the front passenger side will probably give the leg room you need for working.
Back seats in the M59 can be removed easily by unscrewing the retaining bolts, on the B9 they are designed to be removed and probably the same on the later K9. Plenty of threads on here about camper conversions.
