Boot liners
#1
Following on from the "Floor mats" thread, I thought that I would share my experience with finding a boot liner.

I was after was something with sides to keep dirt in one place, but ideally moulded from rubber so that it wouldn't move about and would fit flush with the sides.

I ordered one from here which looked promising, but in reality is not that great.

It is fairly lightweight, so if you are taking things out of the boot, the liner wants to come out as well if you pull or drag at all. The moulding could be better as it doesn't provide a close fit at the rear (which you can see on the photo).

All-in-all, I would say that it scores a 6/10 (cost £35.42 inc. delivery)

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Hello Chris...I bought the boot liner from Citroen a couple of weeks ago, at £87.00 it hurt the wallet a bit, but as you'd expect the quality and fit is spot on. It also as a "high back" to protect the back of the rear seats. Shame I didn't ask for the 15% discount then, that they have just given me on the wind deflectors and mud flaps...Will try and post a few piccies at weekend.

I opted for the thick rubber mats from Citroén with the deep grooves. So far, that has managed the snow melt from packages I've added. Can definitely see a future need for the better ones with the seat protection and proper rim. Would really hate to goo up the original liner.

I'll try to grab a snapshot tomorrow. It's a black rubber mat with tallish ridges.
