You should be getting around 40 mpg.

How are you managing to work out '50 to £10' dosen't sound very scientific!

If 50 miles to £10 diesel is accurate, assuming diesel was £1.45/litre then £10 buys 6.9 litres, which is 1.52 gallons - giving 32.89mpg. I would have expected a bit more than that.

1.45 a litre, that would be nice, 1.48 a litre today at my caring sharing supermarket where every little helps! I would say your mpg is definately lacking.

So, we are waiting to find out how much you pay for diesel before we can be sure you are using too much fuel.

In terms of common problems - the most common problems are 1) driving style, and 2) under-inflated tyres.

And poor maintenance/service history.

I cannot compare directly but it sounds heavy-my old c15 with a 1.9 did 55 mpg,my 07 Berlingo with a 1.6hdi did 58,and my 10 plate L1 did 58 to 62 depending on how far away a service was.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
