Hi all,
I'm new to this site. I have an 05 Berlingo multispace and I was hoping if somebody could give me some info. I am picking up a heavy fire stove this weekend ( 176 kgs or 27 stone ). Would the berlingo be able to carry this ''dead weight '' without any problems to the suspension etc. My journey is about 150 miles . I have recently put a tow hitch on just in case it's not advisable. Thanks.

Looking at the Manual for the Berlingo M59 Van (same year as your Mutlispace), it says max payload as 600kg. I think that includes fluids and everything though.
It says it can take 100kg on the roof rack alone, so you will be ok.

Hi and welcome. Carrying that weight should be no problem at all. Two large adults would weigh the same, plus it's a van underneath!

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Hi,
I'd like to thank everyone for a positive response. The multispace carried the 176kgs stove boiler without a hitch .. Brilliant !
One other thing. I have a leak coming through the seal near the radio ariel. Its gathering water inside the plastic console right in the middle front of the car. The radio has now ceased to work as well. I guess the water has corroded the wire ariel ?
How can I fix the leak and radio ?
Thanks
