[Engine] What is this tube for?

Hi all,
On my 2017 berlingo enterprise blue hdi, I noticed this afternoon the small pipe/tube from the front right of the airbox had snapped off. I've tried glueing it back on but can't get the end of it out of the pipe connector so not very successful.
What is this for (vacuum?) and what effect would it have?
