2015 Berlingo Van Battery & Alarm Issue

Hi,

While on holiday my van battery seems to have died.

On return van would not start and had to get a jump lead start from neighbour.

Happened again a few days later so decided to get a new battery and fitted it myself.

The odd fault I have is that if I lock the van with the remote fob the alarm randomly goes off and when it does I can not stop the alarm with the fob and have to physically open with drivers door with key and start the engine then the alarm is silenced.

So at the moment I am having to lock the van with the key so as not to set the alarm.

Any ideas ?

The alarm was never fitted as standard and was an upgrade not taken up by many, so I've yet to meet anyone in 12 years on here who had an alarm, as far as I can remember. You're the first, sorry I have no idea about the alarm unit. Maybe try a BSI reset - it's documented in the user how-to section.

Maybe the anti tamper battery of the alarm is now bad?

I'll see if I can get the schematics on that function.
