Introduction!
#1
Hi everyone.
Im,currently taking a tea break on a lovely relaxed sunny afternoon fitting a towbar to my new van.
Lovely day, lovely new parts, lovely new wheels.
It doesnt get better.
It just gets worse and worse....

Im lucky enough to have just taken delivery of a 12-plate Berlingo Enterprise in black.
Looks like a big black beautiful hearse.

My previous was a 10-plate 625-X-75 in silver with which I was well impressed.
Prior to that I had an '07 Berlingo (now called First) also in silver.
This one was my favorite.
My first Citroen was a bright red '05 C15 which I loved to bits, but then it fell to bits!
Before this Ive had countless secondhand vauxhalls,an appalling rover 416 (note the lack of capital letters while naming these)and a 1980 Mk2 Escort which I ran into the ground over a ten year ownership .
My first two cars were a Morris 1000 Traveller (that had to go when they banned creosote..) and then a Austin A40 Farina.
I learned to drive in an Austin A35 (up for sale soon) and passed my test in 1984 in a Morris 1000 saloon.
The Citroen bug has spread to the rest of the family,my partner has had so far, a C2,a C3 mk1,a C3 mk2 and now a blue C1.
My son is an emo-whatever that is- and therefore has a black car, a C1.

It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Welcome evdama! Your son's an emu! Very interesting! I've just come from Snow Patrol .com where there's a whole thread devoted to them!

My son's 2002 Multispace 1.9D threw a rod (only 147k miles) running fine before that and let go without warning.
Ran very well after on 3 cyls. but the hole in the block let all the oil out.
Installed an ex-scrapyard replacement but it is not the best and smokes and runs rough.
The engine light comes on intermittently can any one tell me what causes this? low oil pressure etc. which sensor should I look at first?
Thanks for your help

Ive tried the emu routine -it just results in a slammed bedroom door followed by loud whiney "music"

At his age I was wearing a grey leather tie and playing Human League records very loud.

Smoke and rough running could be a fuel issue or it could be overall mechanical wear.
In the latter case your oil pressure sensor is working fine .
It is on my to do list.
