Hi, I've got a 69 plate petrol Berlingo with full Citroen service history. With all the issues with the cambelt on this engine, I'm keen to remain in the goodwill of Citroen if I have an issue (I understand that the goodwill is retained up to 6 years, if full Citroen dealer is used)
Does anyone know if Citroen will carry over the good will if a Peugeot garage is used? Obviously same parent company and ultimately the same van/engine. Our local Citroen garage doesn't have a good reputation, but the Peugeot one does.
Cheers

I very much doubt it. If you try to buy a part form the Peugeot garage parts department, they will refuse to sell you anything for a Citroen, even though they are identical in every way except the badges.
Audi and VW are exactly the same, won't sell you a thing at VW where the parts are cheaper, for the Audi equivalent (I tried) and had to quote a VW number plate off a car on autotrader before they would sell me a coil pack. The local VW garage was good but the Audi one was not. Very similar circumstances.
Try them, but I expect they will send you packing, although they may service it and even repair it, they will have to order Citroen parts and Citroen will likely not hold up the goodwill. Worth asking them though.

If you had a grocery shop and the shop next door sold groceries, would you give a refund on groceries bought next door? Even if they were tomatoes and you sold tomatoes?

That is interesting because my local Citroen dealer will get parts for vauxhall combo K9s and Peugeot Partners and Rifters.
What they cant do os warranty work on Vauxhall and Peugeot
