Berlingo 1.6 HDI 2016. Changed Adblue tank after 105 000 km. Had to pay because just out of warranty. After change of Nox sensor at 120 000 km I have had 4 emission fault with count downs (now at 145 000 km) My mechanics could not find any fault so just reset ECU.
Out of desperation I told my car mechanics to do a Adblue /NOx delete. If it runs without warnings/countdown for the next two years (next MOT august 2025) I will be happy. Total cost for the whole thing was around 550 EURO (in Norway)
If I can run the car for the next two years without any emission fault, I will be happy. My mechanics seems to be confident that this will fix the problems I have had. Time will tell
The car still have the particular filter and he did not do anything with the EGR valve either. I guess the particular filter will need cleaning/change some time in the future but hopefully I won't see the dreaded starting prevended 1100 km count down any more

You have two year MOT periods - never heard of that. I thought all of Europe would be annual as we are.
What will you do when it fails the MOT for Nox emissions in 2025?

Yeah this will be my last diesel car too. Next will be petrol for sure, I have had similar issues in the Eolys side.

The pain is they have two separate systems for emissions which are unrelated but both needed to keep it running.

Yes, it's two years here in Norway, maybe because we are not EU members. There's never been a discussion about changing that to yearly here. We are already the safest country to drive in the world anyway

Seems to be a discussion about the yearly MOT test in the UK however

If the car runs withou emission fault the next two years, I will be very happy and if it fail the MOT, I will trash the car or sell it to anyone willing to buy it (of course I will be honest about the Adblue delete
Up to now the car has been a nightmare. Can't live with such an unreliable car really. I like the car, but allt the faults.............Never a diesel car again
We also have MOT every two years in Denmark, and we are member of EU!
