I have a Citroen Berlingo 2006 1.9D 600 LX Citroen/Siemens.
with over 130000 on the clock.
The problem is a hot start issue. Starts without any problems from cold. Once run for any length of time, and I stop. When I go to turn the key, after the glow plug light has gone out, there will be either a free spinning starter motor, or the engine will turn but won't start first time round, can take up to 7 turns of the key before I get a start, though the average is 3 turns of the key before starts. There is the big red STOP on the dash.
I've got four ideas of what it may be.
1. Problem with immobilizer
2. Fuel management problem.
3. Starter motor (but this would be inconsistent with other starter motor problem I've had in the past.)
4. Problem with engine/electric management system or computer chip.
