I'm gonna have a go at cleaning mine, I don't get to above 50 mph for over 20 mins very often, longest normal is 10 min blast down the dual carriageway. Though most is city/urban driving

So in my search for high mpg ill have a go, I don't have the money for a dpf removal/ software remap so I'll have a go at cleaning

What's wrong with him

also maybe the fact that I add a tiny bit of 2 stroke to the tank of diesel to aid the dodge fuel pump. I'd imagine 2 stroke oil (a high quality fully synthetic one) does contain a tad bit of ash and sulfur. Might not matter what oil I use. Dpf is def getting a clean

He tends to whine and witter when he speaks, Just gets up my nose.
Interesting article though.
The handbook says you should drive at a speed higher than 40mph for a least 5 minutes to regenerate. Mind you it then says if the warning light remains on consult your Citroen dealer!

Contacted dealer where I bought my car 1.6HDi and they suggested high revs @ 40 mph for about 10 mins.

Has anybody actually had the dpf light come on? Mine never has & my driving is mainly town & local rural rarely above 50mph for more than a few miles with a long motorway run every month or more. The problems seems to affect certain makes, never heard of it with Citroen. Technology does not stand still & presumably this problem will be resolved sooner or later.
