Hi all, nice to be here.
Right, big headache here but first a bit of history.
B9 L2 66 plate 1.6hdi Berlingo. Had it 3 years, all ok until last year when it started having Adblue issues. Wasnt going to pay through the nose so I had the Adblue deleted. All well for 12 months until the DPF started throwing warning signs up. Did the usual, took it up and down the motorway etc which cured it for 2 days. Warning signs came back until it went into limp mode. Took the cat off and gave it a good clean with Wynns off-car cleaner, dried it all out and refitted. All well for another 2 days Warning signs and limp mode back. Replaced the cat sensors, no difference. Bit the bullet and bought a brand new DPF, fitted it, all well for another 2 days and off we go again - limp mode. Ive now realised that I have to reset the DPF parameters in the ecu ( didnt know that) so Citroen diagnostic tool on its way. I do however have one question that I cannot get my head around. When I start the van theres a huge amount of pressure escaping from the Adblue injector clamp on the bottom of the cat as if there is a physical blockage somewhere in the exhaust system. Can someone explain why this might happen and would a DPF reset cure this? I know for certain there is no blockage. When the van is ticking over there is plenty of exhaust gas escaping from the tail pipe. Hope someone can answer cos its doing my head in! Many thanks all.
