Another argument against this unnecessary 'feature'. The more complicated a vehicle is, the more likely it is that stuff will go wrong.
Probably worth contacting your local dealer to see if your particular vehicle is affected (I wouldn't rely on the dealer to contact you - mine only mentioned a recent recall when I went in about something else).
I never trust the electric parking brake anyway, and always park in gear as a precaution.

Exactly, No need at all for an electronic parking brake, unless for a special reason.

All drivers should be taught this, a vehicle should always be left in gear when parked and never left only relying on the handbrake (manual handbrake or electronic)

Cheers for that. I did get a recall from Citroen UK on mine built end of Jan 2022 for possible adblue sensor fault which car is booked in for. I just rang my local Cit garage. They say that this latest recall does not apparently apply to mine so ok.

Not sure about the new robotic automatics but conventional auto boxes have "P"(Park) which locks the box, just like a manual gearbox left in gear.
Do the robotic autos not have Park ?
If you can't put your automatic in Park turn the wheels to face the kerb when parked.

There is no gearbox in the E Berlingo. Not sure if the electric motor locks when switched off.
