Turbo to DPF gasket
#1
Dose anyone know the exact part number for the gasket between the turbo and the dpf. I have scoured the internet to no avail and the best i have found is an image that shows it on the Citroen parts direct site under another part listing.

It is number 17 on the image below.

I have fumes in the engine bay and i'm pretty sure it's coming from this join. Read that if this join isn't made before securing the lower DPF mounting bolts it's always going to leak.

Hope is i can get the gasket, loosen the dpf, make the join, tighten the DPF and not die of carbon monoxide poisoning.

This is a job for your friendly local parts factor, anyone that sells exhaust components will be able to get those.

I reckon this is the part you're after, but they'll be able to check,

I had considered that the aftermarket part might look nothing like the original shown in the diagram or my Haynes manual. I need a service anyway so might flag it with mechanic then and get some expert opinion. I just like to know what a problem is and potential resolution before taking it my mechanic when i can

Think i found it!

Searched for turbo gaskets, found a mounting kit that had the correct looking part in it. Clipped the image...

done a google picture search and...

Now the question is am i going to be able to do this on the cheap myself or make a mess of it and be out even more money than i would have done letting a pro do it?

To get part numbers, use http://www.catcar.info, set to English, enter your VIN or if not recognised, drill down through Citroen, Berlingo etc till you find the section you want. The part numbers are listed beside the diagram numbers.

Thank you, really useful that.

Only thing is i went through multiple engine variants and none of the ones i seen showed that part. My VIN wasn't recognised either.

Thanks, i searched for the part number on autodoc and it confirmed the fitment against my reg. Ordered from your link as the genuine part was going to be the same price as the aftermarket.

Sometimes it takes a lot of hunting on there, things are often not in the section you think they would be.
