[Filters & Oil] Berlingo Van - Oil Leak
#1
Hi All,

New member here,

2016 berlingo van 1.6 blue hdi - auto box.

I’ve located an oil leak, which seems to be coming from a braided cable from
the oil a sump (see pics )
it would be great to understand what this part is, if it is a common leak and if a replacement part would fix the issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there not a oil level indicator which fits in the sump. Gives a estimate of the oil level when ignition is switched on.
Could be that or the gasket which is leaking ?

These are just corrugated plastic covers over wiring. The lower messy one looks like the cable going to the Adblue injector under the DPF. There shouldn't be oil in there, it's getting in from somewhere above the engine end of that cable protector..

It doesn't carry oil at all so you have to find out how it's getting inside there. Nothing meant to be in there but wires and fresh air. Has to be getting in from above the other end and running down then out.

Thanks Zion,
Appreciate you taking the time to respond.
I’ll investigate.
