Changing from 2 button to 3 button key
#1
I've seen on a few posts that people seem to want to change the key fob control to lock/unlock all doors at once on their vans. This is how my Multispace currently works with a two button key fob.

Can I reconfigure the Multispace to use three button key fobs instead, so I can isolate locking and unlocking of the rear doors like in a van?

I hate the selective unlocking on my vans, gets on my t*ts to have to unlock twice to open the rear doors. May be handy in the crime capital of Europe mind you!

You don't need a three button key. You just need to set the unlocking to "selective" in the BSI using Diagbox. Then it needs two presses to unlock the rear and side doors.

I have the 3 button key and rarely use the rear-only button as it only unlocks the cargo doors and then you need to lock the whole thing again to relock them. Just hit unlock twice for all doors open, and then relock once (or twice to deadlock as I do)

Cheers dude, the thing is, is that my sole key is held together with insulation tape and I need to replace it as well as get a backup. I'm so used to having and using a separate button for unlocking the cargo doors on the old transit as well, a bit of a creature of habit I'm afraid also means the cab is still locked when I shut the slam lock side doors

Ah ok then, but if the car never had a three button key then it may not work, just get a new two button one and then program it with Diagbox and set the locking to selective.

You need your factory security pin to code a new key.
