Hi all,
I'm in desperate need to get my van started, I'm currently between accommodation and living in my van ? I literally have nowhere else to go!
EDIT: it's my work van too so need it to earn.
I've just filled up, gone to start and I'm hearing a click from the glovebox but it wont turn over.
It's a 2013 1.6 diesel 75ps
Does anyone have any clue what it could be?
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate any help!

Battery? Check the terminals but as you're at a station pick up some jump leads and find a good samaritan.
Where are you?

Surely the battery couldn't have failed in the time it takes to refuel?
Hope you're recovered and up and running again by now Joe.

It is very possible - modern batteries can just die in a heartbeat and that includes leadacid types

I'm guessing you've sorted it by now?
To discount the earth strap use a jump lead from the engine block to the bodywork or direct to the - terminal on the battery.
It's probably the battery though - it's been the first cold spell of the year so far and your van is 10year old and potentially (?) still on the original battery.

Thank you all for your replies! New battery and checked the fuses... but it bump starts, and very intermittently starts with the key!
Starter motor! Bloody thing!
Having to park on a hill whenever I stop to bump it! 9 times out of 10 it needs a bump, every now and then it'll start with the key.
Need to get the cash to sort it out now ??♂️ theres always something waiting to knock you down when you're trying your hardest to better yourself!
Dont suppose anyone knows any garages in south warwickshire that will do the work for delayed payment until the end of the month?? Not every customer lives on a hill and I need to get out to work!!

A passing thought - my M59 once died unexpectedly and refused to start.
It turned out that arcing in the ignition switch contacts (badly designed) had got to the stage where not enough poke was coming out of the switch to run the stater motor.
No idea whether this could also affect B9s, but might be worth considering.
