Workshop manual / ServiceBox VM
#1
Warning: this download is 18 gigabytes. When unzipped it needs about 25Gb.

https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B71kuAv9...t=download

click download anyway. You'll get an 18Gb zip file. Obviously, check it yourself for any hidden nasties. Eset found none when I checked.

For instructions, read the text file I've attached.
It is a copy of the install text file in the download, more detailed than the video, with edits based on my own experiences.

I also pasted in the Quick Start Guide which appears on the virtual desktop once you get that far.

I suggest you read everything before you start.

Okay - spoiler alert, or rather anti-spoiler alert: asking a virtual install of Win XP to load a 25Gb file is no small ask!

I had other things to do, so left it running in the background.
It took about 100 minutes - yes, 1 hr 40 minutes!
True, my PC is wobblier than I am - 2 3.16Gb cores and 4Gb of RAM.
It didn't need much RAM but both cores were running at between 50% and 90%.
So I suggest you set it off just before you have lunch or watch a film or give your pussy some treats or give your beloved an annual service.

Nice one @Gryffindor, I tried to find a reliable source of ServiceBox for putting up here but it was only the pug one I could get.

I bought ServiceBox as a VM from eBay and I run it on a 64gb micro SD card in an SD adapter, plugged into the SD socket of whichever laptop I happen to be at, it works well like that. VMware player loads it fine. Just say "I moved it" when it asks.

First run of the electrical section takes ages, and it times out if not being used. Bit of a pain but very handy.

I'll sticky this. Should really be in how-to section I guess but here will do for now.

Google is currently throttling the downloads, the package is unavailable at least at my end. Hopefully it'll eventually be available.

One question: Does this version enumerate the search results correctly? I have some version of Service 2013, but on it the search results for parts descriptions are off if there are multiple results. There is some offset, and clicking one item returns some other item on the list, and in some occasions it crashes the service completely. Annoying.

Please try this:
1) For car, select Berlingo B9. Leave the engine and body filters open.
2) At top right search box, select type as "Parts - Description of part" and as search string "exhaust". It should result >300 document. (See attachment for reference)
3) Click a result on the list to open
The question: When you click items open one by one, do you always get the correct document, eg. title in the list matches the title on the document?

I was hoping that uploaded version of the installation would be better than my current.

I've never noticed that in my version and I think they are all the same copy, but you never know.

This one is not posted up by any of us personally, but had been found online by @Gryffindor so he posted the link here with a guide to installing attached.

So no one here knows which version it is or if it has any bugs.

If there are any, they are likely already part of the Citroen copy from which these are all taken by whoever cracked it.

TBH I only installed it and had a quick look round, having stumbled upon it by chance and not because I needed it.

When I have time Angry I will go a bit deeper into it.

Sure. Just asking if some had already tried that version. I'll report back if I get it downloaded.

Great stuff, let us know how it goes. I'm interested in how well it works and any issues you have.

I got the linked version downloaded. It seems to be of the same version I already had, so the issues are they same.

As screen capture shows, clicking on one document search result opens some other document on the same result page. What more, clicking through those items in the list eventually crashes the background server.

Here is one tip I have learned learned as a workaround; As you see in the screen capture, hovering the mouse on the list item shows document reference as tooltip. You can do a search of type "procedures - document reference" with that code, and it returns exactly the correct document and then you are able to successfully open it.

Although this version of the Service documentation is somewhat cumbersome to use, it still is very valuable source of knowledge if you want to learn how our cars work.
