On my 2006 Berlingo my front wipers are making a squeaking sound when they are on.
First I replaced the wiper blades and the squeak continued. I then lifted the wiper blades off the windscreen entirely and turned on the wipers and despite the blades making no contact with the windscreen a squeaking sound still persisted.
Since the wiper motor still works can anyone provide advice on how I can apply lubricant to the wiper motor to prevent squeaking.
Thanks

You will have to gain access to the wiper rack by removing the plastic trim that the wiper spindles pass through at the bottom of the windscreen.
The squeak could be the ball joints on the wiper rack linkages but it's more likely to be coming from the spindles that the wiper arms attach to, the spindles can get stiff to turn and eventually start to seize up.
The video below shows what's involved in cleaning & lubricating the spindles.

This is the time of year when local field mice look for warm nooks to bed down in for the winter, and if that channel at the bottom of your windscreen has some old leaves in it, they won't take long to find it. But they will complain very loudly when your wiper linkage knocks them about.
