Hi everyone,
I have a berlingo M59 2008 XTR (ex forestry commission)
I think my driveshaft is knackered on the passenger side. I ordered a new one from BGA driveshafts and got the old one out no problem. I have replaced the old oil seal again no issues.
Before fitting the new one I compared the 2 shafts. The old shaft is shorter at the end that goes into the gearbox by about 10mm.
I sent pictures to BGA and their guys advised against fitting it as they said it might foul the inside of the gearbox if it went in too far and it also looks like it would only just sit into the oil seal.
The BGA guys couldn’t find a drive shaft that matched the measurements I sent them although I suspect they didn’t try too hard. I then called Citroen who gave me a part number but it seems similar to the new one I have.
I was wondering would the XTR have a specific drive shaft because of the gearbox/slip diff? And does anyone know the part number on anything helpful? Many thanks
