First Citroen first Berlingo
#1
Hi chaps

Just bought a 2006 1.6 petrol with 104k km

I live  in sunny Tenerife so everything is on the wrong side.

I'm looking for hints and tips. I've bought a Wolfbox rear view camera set up as the rear view mirror  is dreadful.

Next job is to add Bluetooth which probably means a new radio.  I've used the search which suggests removing the radio can affect the car but I've seen on YT a guy removing the radio for a screen without issues??
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl_UXfu6yXc

I'll do some more digging as I don't want to mess anything up.

Thanks in advance

Richard

That issue only affects the later B9 vehicles from 2008-2018, the old M59 doesn't care, you can do what you want to the stereo. The display is only a clock anyway on your vehicle. The B9 one is a multifunction display with trip computer and Bluetooth control etc if fitted, and the stereo has the ECU embedded in it. Yours doesn't so you can bash on and fit what you like.

The guy in the video has an aftermarket stereo to begin with, they don't come with Sony units.

I miss my wee M59, it was easier to live with.

I miss my first Berlingo too. An 04 Berlingo Desire with all the cubby holes and boxes everywhere (modutop?) And the little glass panels in the roof.

Thanks, I'm enjoying it as a bouncy bouncy utility vehicle and in fact the Mrs prefers this to our Lexus!

I've added a Wolfbox rear camera as I found judging reversing & parking quite tricky (I'm rubbish at reversing tbf)
Still to fit a BT stereo Undecided

I didn't realise you could get such an item! That could be useful. Mine was written off many years ago and been in various vehicles since. Though I have to say that I actually prefer my current one, even though it's a van.
